As 2008 rapidly comes to a close, I’d like to take a moment and take care of a few housekeeping items.
1. I am very excited to have Mary Ann Crossno coming on board as a regular contributor. Mary Ann is a fellow marriage and family therapist and will provide a great perspective as we continue to strive for simplifying marriage in order to get more. Mary Ann will also be writing some posts for Parent to Launch.
2. Speaking of Parent To Launch, many of you have already found my new blog. If you’ve yet to check it out, please do. It’s been a lot of fun to write about the world of parenting, as well as have many other contributing authors. And if there is one thing that’s sure to get in the way of simplifying marriage, it’s parenting. Currently there’s a new post you may enjoy, Giving Kids Their Space.
3. At the beginning of 2009 there will be a few changes around here. Currently I have three main websites operating. Simple Marriage, Parent to Launch, and Marriage Fully Alive (which is my counseling site). One of the changes will be Simple Marriage is going to swallow up Marriage Fully Alive. The only difference you the loyal reader will notice is the addition of a few new services.
I also have been working with my brother-in-law on a new logo, or brand, for Simple Marriage. It looks really great and should be unveiled at the first of the year.
Also in 2009 the Simple Marriage Community will start up. You may remember that at one time in the past there was a forum for you to connect with fellow readers. I had to close it for a while due to some technical issues. The technical issues are almost all worked out so I hope to reopen the community soon.
4. Finally, for a bit of comic relief, and some good advice to all you fellow husbands out their, check out this video. It’s hilarious.
Next year looks to be a great year. Thank you for your invaluable contributions to Simple Marriage thus far. You are the reason 2008 has been so good. I look forward to what’s coming in the future!
May God bless you and your marriage.
